“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish – ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.” - John 10:28-30.
I find great confidence in knowing that once I put my faith in Christ, I belonged to Him for all eternity. Even when I slip up and sin, which we all do, I still belong to Him. I am still covered by His blood. The world tries to convince us otherwise. The world tells us do not worry about what the Scriptures say about salvation, listen to what we say! This world wants us to believe that through our own goodness, and through our own efforts, we can earn a spot in heaven. The thought is it does not matter which path you take they all lead to heaven.
We can never earn a place in Heaven on our own. Only through faith in Jesus Christ!
Only by His sacrificial death on the cross at Calvary can we have that assurance. He went to that cross so that we could have forgiveness. God sacrificed His only Son so that we could have the assurance of eternal life. With this sacrifice do you think Jesus would allow anyone, or thing, to remove His children from Him? The Scriptures answer that question for us. We are eternally secure in Christ Jesus!
The Easter season is always a beautiful season. The warm weather, the blossoming flowers, reminders of new life. Celebrate the new life we have been given through Jesus
Christ. Remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you as we move closer to Resurrection Sunday. Begin preparing your hearts today to worship and praise our Lord!
Make plans to join us early on Easter Sunday. We will have our annual Sunrise Service once again. Then make plans to join us at Calvary on Easter morning for our worship service. Bring your whole family and invite some friends. I look forward to worshiping with you!
